Throughout the year, National PTA offers awards or grants to honor or support PTAs as they: engage families, support student success, improve the health and safety of students and families, increase access to arts education or celebrate advocacy and diversity.
Thanks to a generous donation from Kindle, National PTA will distribute 20 Kindles to 50 PTAs affiliated with Title 1 elementary schools or elementary schools with a minimum of 40% of students qualifying for free and reduced price lunch. This donation aims to enhance your participation in PTA's Family Reading Experience, Powered by Kindle. This award recognizes PTAs that best demonstrate outstanding achievement in the areas of diversity and inclusion, as well as efforts to end discriminatory practices. The award will be presented to one state PTA and one council or district PTA, and one local PTA at the Annual National PTA Convention, June 26-28 in Charlotte, NC.

The Mary Lou Anderson Reflections Arts Enhancement Grant provides matching dollar funding to local PTAs to support in- and after-school arts enhancement projects within their communities. PTAs serving at-risk student populations are particularly encouragesd to apply, beginning in January 2015, for projects starting the following school year. Apply by March 27.
This celebrates the state PTA making significant strides to increase male membership and engagement in schools and communities, which helps nurture children’s intellectual, physical and social development. The winning state PTA will receive $1,000 and be announced at the annual National PTA Convention in Charlotte, N.C. Apply by April 30.
