National PTA + Happy Coffee 

National PTA teamed up with Happy to provide teachers and staff with free Happy coffee pods. If awarded, your PTA will receive 7,000+ Happy Coffee pods.

This opportunity is open Oct. 7-14, 2025. The opportunity to apply is only open for a week, so apply as soon as possible!

Around 100 PTAs will be selected.

The shelf life of the coffee pods is through March 2026. When applying, please consider sharing the coffee pods with other PTAs in your area.

Requirements to Receive Happy Coffee


Happy Coffee - pods

  • You MUST be a local, district, council or region PTA to apply!

  • Be an active PTA and in good standing with your state PTA.

  • Be able to receive Happy coffee at a school location.

  • Must complete donation completion form to share stories, pictures and testimonials.


5 Fun Ideas for Distributing the Donated Coffee

  • Mystery Box – Place a large box or basket with a note saying “Surprise! Thank you so much for everything you do for our kids! – From X PTA”

  • Pop-Up Coffee Station – Add a sign that says “Pop by the lounge for a treat”

  • Coffee Day – Choose a day in December to surprise your teachers and staff with coffee in the lounge

  • Surprise Celebration or Video Tribute – Have a little celebration with the principal, a few teachers and staff to announce the teachers and staff are getting free Happy coffee or create a short video expressing gratitude and announcing free Happy coffee for teachers and staff.

  • Handwritten Notes – Collect appreciation and thank you notes from PTA members and leaders to include with the Happy coffee in the teachers/staff lounge

10 Messages to Show and Share Your PTA’s Value through Donated Coffee: 

  1. Connect the donation to the value of PTA and benefit it brings to teachers and staff. Be sure to invite them to become part of your PTA. Here’s some resources to help make that ASK.

  2. Share that the coffee is a special offer from PTA for teachers and staff.

  3. Have the principal share in an email to staff and teachers that there’s a free giveaway of coffee from your PTA.

  4. Use the coffee to start a conversation with teachers about your PTA’s value to the community (in what ways does PTA help me and my child) and create connections with families, teachers and administrators.

  5. Add stickers with PTA branding to stick on Happy coffee boxes.

  6. Connect to Healthy Minds conversations:

    • Happy has a partnership with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) – Share this poster with coffee supply.

    • Share our Healthy Minds resources for families.
  7. Share stories on social media about why educators are important to our community and that we are helping to thank them with coffee. Include photos!

  8. Starting the holiday season with some free coffee for teachers and staff.

  9. Highlight teacher and staff voices who received the coffee. Collect quotes.

  10. Feature teachers publicly (with permission) alongside your donation delivery to celebrate them.


Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply for this opportunity? 

Any PTA leader is welcome to apply for this opportunity. Note: PTA president will have to sign the donation agreement if your PTA is selected.

How do I sign-up for the free Happy coffee opportunity?

To apply, fill out this opportunity interest form. If selected, you will be notified in mid-November.

If selected, what products are we receiving from Happy?
  • Happy coffee pods 

  • A few PTAs will be selected to receive a Keurig as well

Does our PTA’s school have to have a Keurig machine in the teacher/staff room(s) in order to apply?

No, some winners will receive a Keurig machine along with the coffee pods. In the application, you will be asked if your school has a Keurig machine and if your PTA has the funds to purchase one to go along with the coffee pods.

How does this benefit my school community?

Show your appreciation and support for your teachers and staff by providing coffee to brighten their day.

How does this benefit my PTA?

This is a tangible benefit from your PTA to the teachers and staff you support. This is a great opportunity to build a positive relationship with the school (school staff, principal, teachers). This shows the value of your PTA.

Are there any restrictions?

All PTAs will be considered. Priority consideration will be taken for PTAs over large geographic areas or serving over one school. PTAs serving Title I schools will be prioritized as well.

Does my PTA have to pay for the shipping?

No, Happy will take care of the shipping cost.

Where will the coffee pods be shipped?

The person applying will be asked to provide a school address (no P.O. boxes; street address only) to receive the shipment.

Does someone have to be at the school to accept the shipment?

Yes, someone will need to be at the school to accept the shipment.

Once our PTA receives the coffee, who can the coffee go to?
  • Teachers and school staff at the school(s) your PTA serves.

  • If you are sharing your supply with another PTA, the teachers and school staff at that school.

What is the weight of the entire pallet?

325lbs.

Can my PTA share the coffee?

Yes. Share with other PTAs in your area to give to their school’s teachers and staff.
