Effectively Develop a Membership Plan
This toolkit is designed to help states effectively develop a state-level membership plan. This toolkit can also be used to develop district, council, and/or region membership plans/goals.
Addressing Membership Growth
PTA is a membership organization, and without members, we don’t exist. Members are what drive and sustain PTA. The more members we have the louder our voice is at the county, state and federal levels. The tool will help you use data, set S.M.A.R.T.I.E. goals, identify action steps, track progress and more – all with a focus on growing your membership.
Membership Growth Planning Tool
This easy to use form lays the ground work for developing achievable goals, as well as defining who, when, and how the work will get accomplished. It allows you to look at your data, evaluate where and how you want to grow, and track your progress monthly. The form can be adopted and adapted to fit your specific needs.
Membership Plan Progress Report Tool
This easy to use form allows you to look at specific pieces of state data, evaluate where you are, track your progress monthly, and define specific goals.
Sample Membership Goals
To help you think through what a realistic and achievable goal looks like, we developed and built out FOUR sample goals. You may like the goals and wish to use them in your state or they may just help get your ideas flowing, either way they will inspire you.
Southeast Regional Training (SERT) Membership Tools
If your state participated in the SERT, you may have already developed your membership plan using the tools from the event. Below are links for you to update your goals for FY2019-20.
