PTA Connected with Facebook: Digital Families Community Events
Digital Families Community Events will:
Give parents a safe space to network, share successes and worries about parenting in a digital world
Promote research-backed best practices for parenting in a digital age and tools to foster the parent-child interaction
Empower parents and families with resources and research to equip them to be safer online
Apply for a PTA Connected with Facebook Grant
The 2018 PTA Connected with Facebook Grant will award $1,000 to 200 PTAs in all 54 state congresses to host a Digital Families community event. All PTAs are eligible provided they can host their event during the 2018-2019 school year.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a PTA in good standing, as determined by your State PTA
- Commit to hosting an event that engages at least 100 attendees in learning activities centered on digital safety, security and wellness
- Have at least 15 volunteers to assist with event
- Submit evaluation results to National PTA after the event
National PTA is committed to promoting and encouraging many types of diversity and inclusion as part of our commitment to every child. In addition to evaluating the merits of each application, we may also consider geography, need and other criteria to ensure a robust and diverse pool of grantees.
