Tackling COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Together

COVID-19 continues to be unpredictable. Over 1,000,000 lives have been lost. Millions more people have been seriously ill, hospitalized or are experiencing the effects of long-term COVID-19. Mitigation strategies are available for implementation to reduce the risk of harm from a COVID-19 infection. National PTA has compiled the following resources, tools and information to help families and PTA leaders help keep kids safely in school.

Conversation with the U.S. Surgeon General on ‘Tripledemic’ and Youth Mental Health Crisis

National PTA President Anna King spoke with Dr. Vivek Murthy, Surgeon General of the United States, about the ‘tripledemic’ and how we can help protect our families and ease the spread of the viruses. President King and Surgeon General Murthy also discussed the youth mental health crisis and ways we can support children’s social emotional well-being.

The COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective for people aged 6-months and up, woman who are pregnant or woman thinking about becoming pregnant.

The vaccine:
  1. Provides a solid layer of protection that keeps us and everyone around us safe.
  2. Helps you recover from COVID-19 more quickly.
  3. Prevents serious illness, hospitalization and death.
  4. Gives us the freedom to live our lives.
