Tackling COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Together

COVID-19 continues to be unpredictable. Over 1,000,000 lives have been lost. Millions more people have been seriously ill, hospitalized or are experiencing the effects of long-term COVID-19. Mitigation strategies are available for implementation to reduce the risk of harm from a COVID-19 infection. National PTA has compiled the following resources, tools and information to help families and PTA leaders help keep kids safely in school.

National PTA Virtual Town Hall Event

How Families Can Navigate Today’s COVID-19 Environment

Moderated by Spectrum News National Health Correspondent and Mom Erin Billups, the virtual town hall event features White House Senior Policy Advisor Dr. Cameron Webb and Dr. Greta Massetti, the CDC's branch chief of the Field Epidemiology and Prevention Branch and a senior epidemiologist.

The mental health and learning loss impacts of the pandemic have been felt by every family across the country, and as mask mandates and other COVID-19 restrictions continue to lift across the nation, parents are faced with making decisions that best protect their families and suit their needs. During the town hall, our group of experts will also address parents’ questions and concerns like:

  • How can I navigate today’s COVID-19 environment?
  • How can I tap into resources and partner with teachers to help address learning loss?
  • What can I do to support my child’s social and emotional well-being?
  • How do I help keep my child safe this summer?

Please share this with PTA leaders, members and families in your states.
