Candidate Narrative

As I reflect on four years of service on the Board of Directors of National PTA, I remain deeply committed to advancing our mission while ensuring the financial strength and sustainability necessary to serve all families.

During my tenure, I have contributed to initiatives that support both organizational effectiveness and meaningful family engagement. As a finance and treasury professional with more than a decade of experience, I bring a disciplined and strategic approach to fiscal oversight—grounded in transparency, accountability, and sound stewardship of resources. I understand that strong financial governance is essential to maintaining trust and positioning National PTA for long-term success.

My leadership journey, including past service as Secretary of North Carolina PTA and as a district council president supporting 44 local units and over 34,000 students, has reinforced the critical connection between fiduciary responsibility and mission-driven impact. These experiences, along with my continued service on the National PTA Finance and Family Engagement Committees, have strengthened my ability to align financial strategy with organizational priorities.

I remain focused on ensuring that PTA continues to evolve to meet the needs of today’s families: expanding access, strengthening partnerships, and aligning resources in ways that reflect our core values. My broader community service has further deepened my understanding of the challenges families face and the importance of thoughtful, responsive leadership.

I am prepared to serve as Secretary-Treasurer with integrity, diligence, and a forward-looking perspective - ensuring responsible financial oversight while advancing sustainable growth and lasting impact.

Together, we can strengthen our foundation, elevate our impact, and ensure National PTA remains a trusted and enduring voice for every child and every family. I would be honored to earn your vote.
