Candidate Narrative

I am passionate about supporting the mission of the National PTA, which is to make every child’s potential a reality by empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. My dedication to this mission has driven my involvement in various PTA activities and leadership roles. One notable experience includes my work in helping the Idaho PTA board go from a 10-person board with six open positions to a fully filled board. This was achieved through strategic networking and developing valuable partnerships.

Additionally, my role on the Field Service Committee allowed me to collaborate with state leaders from five different states. This experience has given me insight into the diverse challenges and needs across different regions, which is crucial for the Nominating and Leadership Recruitment Committee. I understand the importance of having a well-rounded and diverse team that reflects the values of collaboration, commitment, diversity, respect, and accountability, which are core to the PTA.

I believe my experiences and skills in leadership development, collaboration, and strategic networking will be an asset to the NLRC. I am committed to identifying and recruiting individuals who will bring fresh perspectives and a shared dedication to advancing the mission of PTA. Serving on the NLRC is an opportunity to ensure that our leadership is representative of the diverse communities we serve, and that the candidates we nominate are poised to continue making meaningful changes in the lives of children. I am eager to contribute to this important work and help guide the PTA into a bright future.
