Candidate Narrative
For more than two decades, I have served in PTA leadership because I believe advocacy is not optional when it comes to children, it’s essential. My commitment to this work was shaped long before I held a role or title. As the sister of a brother with autism and as someone who helped raise my brothers, I learned early that leadership means protecting potential, challenging systems that fall short, and refusing to accept limits placed on any child’s future.
I am running for President-Elect because this moment calls for courageous, forward-thinking leadership. Our families are navigating unprecedented challenges, mental health needs, educational inequities, learning differences, and rapidly changing communities. National PTA must lead the way, not wait for the way. We must be bold in our advocacy, unapologetic in our pursuit of equity, and united in our commitment to ensuring every child, in every zip code, has access to opportunity and belonging.
My work with the Internal Revenue Service and my volunteer service as Chief Operating Officer for a nonprofit that empowers girls has deepened my commitment to accountability, stewardship, and investing in the next generation. When we align resources with purpose, potential becomes progress. I envision a National PTA that continues to build and strengthen family engagement, elevates diverse voices, develops future leaders, and stands as the unwavering champion for children nationwide.
I am ready to lead with clarity, compassion, and conviction, grounded in experience, driven by purpose, and inspired by the limitless possibility within every child.
