Candidate Narrative

I am asking for your support as I am seeking a position on the National PTA Board of Directors. PTA has been an important part of my life for more than 30 years, and like many of you, my journey began as a parent wanting to make a difference in my child’s school.

Since then, I have had the privilege of serving at the local, council and state levels, including as State PTA President. For the past three years, I have also served on the National PTA Field Service Committee, working alongside state leaders across the country. Listening to their challenges, celebrating their successes and helping them navigate their work has deepened my understanding of the diverse needs of our associations.

Those experiences have given me both perspective and practical knowledge of what PTAs need to grow, adapt and thrive. But beyond the titles, what matters most is that I am one of you. I understand the long meetings, the balancing of responsibilities and the passion that drives us to make every child’s potential a reality.

If elected, I will bring dedication, collaboration and respect for every member's voice. I will work to ensure that National PTA decisions reflect the needs of all PTAs and that every member feels heard, supported and empowered.

Thank you for all you do on behalf of children and families. I would be honored to have your support.
