Who Can Vote
If you wish to vote during 2025 National PTA Virtual Convention and are not a member of National PTA governance, that is already part of the voting body per National PTA Bylaws, you will need to be selected as a state PTA delegate. You must register (including complete payment) for Virtual Convention by 11:59 p.m. PDT June 3, 2025, for your name to be part of the delegate selection process.
Contact your state PTA to learn about the process to become a state delegate. You will be notified on or around June 12 if you have been selected by a state PTA as a voting delegate. All registrants are urged to add Credentials@PTA.org to your safe-sender list to make sure you will receive all communication.
Credentialed voters will need to be electronically present in the Zoom meeting to participate and vote during the meeting.
All credentialed voters will receive an email the morning of June 26 with their Zoom log-in information to participate in live debate and voting. When you join General Meeting 2, please make sure your Zoom display name is in this format: First Name, Last Name, and State Abbreviation (i.e., Joe Smith, FL). Here is a short instructional video on how to change your display name in Zoom.
Convention attendees who are not members of the voting body will be able to view the General Meeting 2 in the Convention portal but will not be able to participate in debate and voting.
Members of the voting body must pre-file amendments to proposed business by completing this 2025 motion form and emailing it to Amendments@PTA.org by 5 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, June 24. No motions will be accepted after 5 p.m. EDT June 24.
National PTA’s Governance Committee and Resolutions Committee review the proposed bylaws amendments and resolutions for convention this year.
How to Submit an Amendment
All amendments to proposed Convention business must include the completed 2025 motion form and be emailed to Amendments@PTA.org by 5 p.m. EDT June 24 in order for consideration during Convention.
