Policies

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements

All registered participants, attendees, vendors and guests of the in-person National PTA 125th Anniversary Convention (Convention) in National Harbor, Md., are required to be “Up to Date” in their vaccinations against COVID-19* unless they are eligible for an exemption.**  This policy is for the safety and welfare of our attendees and based on guidance and recommendations issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health authorities and applies to all events and meetings from June 13-19, 2022.

All attendees (registrants, presenters, guests, sponsors, staff and vendors) will be required to provide proof that they are “Up to Date” in their vaccinations against COVID-19*.  National PTA will be providing directions to attendees on how to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status closer to the start of Convention. Attendees will not be able to check-in and receive their badge without having submitted proof of their vaccination status as directed by National PTA prior to arrival at the event.

National PTA will communicate safety protocols prior to the Convention, e.g., masking, social distancing, etc. All participants must follow safety protocols and directives at all events and meetings. Further, all attendees will also be required to submit a Safety Information and Waiver Form which will be provided along with information on how to submit proof of vaccination status.

*Up to date means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible.  Please see the CDC website for additional information.

** To request an exemption from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement due to a health circumstance or sincerely held religious belief, please contact Safety@PTA.org to request the required form that will need to be completed. Individuals granted an exemption must provide proof electronically that they have tested negative for COVID-19 via a PCR COVID-19 test (verified by a healthcare provider) no more than 48 hours prior to arrival at the Gaylord.  Attendees will be responsible for arranging and paying for any such tests.
