Candidate Narrative

Rose Acerra

I respectfully request your support as the slated candidate for Vice President of Advocacy.  I have been an enthusiastic parent advocate for the past 27 years, starting my involvement in my children’s PTA as a local leader, where grassroots advocacy showed me the power of my voice.  I continued my advocacy work on the state level, where I helped empower members to use their voices, and today I proudly serve as a member of the National PTA Board of Directors.

My passion for the mission of the PTA is deeply rooted in my belief that all children deserve a high-quality education, and every member should know how to make that happen. Serving on the National PTA requires experienced, ethical leaders dedicated to connecting our members to critical advocacy resources, the core of who we are as an association.

I am ready to serve as a collaborative, inspiring, and resolute leader to help empower our members and colleagues and elevate advocacy throughout our PTA. I am proud of my work as a past State President and Federal Legislative Chair; it has prepared me for this role. I look forward to serving our members and decision-makers to advance their advocacy knowledge on every level.

I would be honored to continue serving the association that has defined me as a compassionate and visionary leader. My integrity, vast PTA, and professional experiences have prepared me to be a vital asset to our leadership team as your next Vice President of Advocacy.

When elected, I will maintain my commitment, passion, and service to YOU, our members who are the critical voices of our association.  I respectfully ask for your vote as the next National PTA Vice President of Advocacy.
