Candidate for Nominating and Leadership Recruitment Committee
Nicole Lesnick has been a member of PTA for over 15 years serving in leadership roles in her local units, Ohio PTA, and National PTA. She began her PTA career in the Early Childhood PTA where she was first inspired to take an active role in education and advocacy for children. She was inspired to become more active in PTA after her council president encouraged her to think about becoming a PTA leader. It was that comment that encouraged Nicole to go outside of her comfort zone and get more involved in PTA.
As she began to serve in offices like fundraising, membership, and eventually president, her reason for being involved changed. It started for herself and her children, then for the children in her hometown, and then she really began to focus on how to make a difference for every child. She believes that parents want the very best for his/her child and that they want to be involved. Finding opportunities for parents and community members to be involved at school became part of her love for PTA. She finds great joy in using her passion for PTA to get others involved as well.
Being a member of the Nominating, Leadership, and Recruitment Committee (NLRC) is an opportunity to serve the PTA community that Nicole loves. She doesn’t just wear her passion on her sleeve but in her heart. Her favorite part about being a leader is helping others to realize their potential to do more. Being a member of the NLRC would give Nicole the opportunity to inspire others to get involved and to help find the next leaders of our organization.
Nicole and her husband Michael have 8 children- Julia, Paige, Stephanie, Jason, Justin, Bobby, Sarah, and Blaise. She loves coffee, podcasts, and PTA.
