Candidate for Nominating and Leadership Recruitment Committee
Mr. Chase A. Thomas, RBT, ABAT is a graduate student a National Louis University, pursing a Master of Science in Human Services Management and is the full-time Instructional Coach Behavior Specialist for Bridges Academy of McHenry County, a division of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy and Education.
Previously, Chase served as an Instructional Aide in various classrooms at one of the sister locations of ChanceLight, Spectrum Center Lake County where he learned the basics of working in Special Education including Applied Behavior Analysis, Direct Instruction and Classroom Management.
Apart from his role at Bridges, Chase also is actively involved in the community, serving on the board and respective committee for various nonprofit organizations such as the Parent Teacher Association and Association of Parliamentarians and is an elected official in Lake County, serving as a Trustee on the Lake County Regional School Board of Trustees. In addition, he works part-time in the evenings and on weekends as a Senior Behavior Therapist at the Behavior and Special Education Services Group, Inc. In his role as a Behavior Therapist and Licensed Registered Behavior Technician, he works under the ongoing supervision to implement programs to help address the unique needs of the students BASES services on a daily basis.
As a passionate and driven individual with lived experience with having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Chase comes to his career with years of experience and passion and hopes to use some of these skills once again in the Parent Teacher Association as a member of the Nominating and Leadership Recruitment Committee where he can realign and refocus his efforts to recruit and develop the next generation of not only PTA leaders but also advocates that the field of education and this world desperately needs.
