Parent and Education Leaders to Convene in Columbus for 2019 National PTA Convention & Expo

Convention to feature symposiums on public school funding and foster care, free community event for Columbus families and Reflections 50th Anniversary Celebration

WHAT:

Parent and education leaders from across the country will gather Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center for the 2019 National PTA Convention & Expo. During the conference, attendees will hear from education professionals and experts; participate in workshops and trainings; and discuss key issues impacting children, families, schools and communities. The convention is designed to inspire and empower participants with ideas and strategies to make a difference in the lives of every child.

Event keynote speakers include singer-songwriter and child advocate Janiva Magness, as well as 2019 Ohio Teacher of the Year Mona Al-Hayani. Attendees will also hear from National PTA President Jim Accomando and National PTA Executive Director Nathan R. Monell, CAE.

The convention will feature symposiums on public school funding and foster care, a free community event (PTA Palooza) for Columbus families and the Awards & Reflections 50th Celebration, during which students from across the country will be recognized for their talents and creativity in the arts.
