Jeff Price was elected to the National PTA Board of Directors in June 2021. In addition to his service on the national level, Price is currently serving as Secretary for California State PTA (2019-2021) and as Executive Vice President for Lakewood High PTSA (2019-2021). His favorite thing about PTA is knowing that he is making a difference.
Price has been involved in PTA for over 10 years, previously serving as a member of the National PTA Strategic Outreach Committee, and as a member of the California State PTA Board of Managers, Leadership Services Commission and Membership Task Force, in addition to various positions for Thirty-Third District PTA, Long Beach Council PTA, Hughes Middle School PTA, and Longfellow Elementary School PTA.
Outside of PTA, Price currently serves as a member of the Long Beach Transit Board of Directors (2020-2021). His previous community involvement includes a California Senate appointment on the California Court Ordered and Traffic Related Debt Task Force (2013-2014) as well as the California Council on Criminal Justice (2008-2010). Price has also served as a member of the Citizens’ Police Complaint Commission, as Director of the Housing Development Company Board, and as Commissioner of the Public Safety Advisory Commission, all for the City of Long Beach.
Professionally, Price is an attorney and partner at Morrison, LaRossa, Price & Iturrioz, APC. He holds a juris doctorate from Whittier Law School, as well as a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach, where he graduated cum laude.
He has been honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award and is a two-time Golden Oak Award winner. He is also a LAMBDA Human Rights Award Recipient and received the Mentor of the Year Award from Volunteers in Parole (VIP).
Price, his husband Ed and their son reside in California. In his downtime, he greatly enjoys reading, traveling, and watching his son play soccer.
