Fidelia Sturdivant is a career educator and administrator who worked with children from preschool to high school. A newly retired principal, Sturdivant’s career focused on serving and educating students in the East Orange (New Jersy) School District for over 30 years. She now serves on the National PTA Board of Directors and is the coordinator of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association (PSA). Sturdivant received her Bachelor of Science from West Virginia State University and her Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Seton Hall University.
Throughout her career, Sturdivant has held leadership positions such as president of the East Orange Administrators Association; president of the New Jersey PSA; New Jersey state representative for the National Association Elementary School Principals and New Jersey State Board of Examiners; and trustee for Bethel Baptist Church. Sturdivant has received the East Orange YMCA Minority Achievers Award and was the recipient of the Shirley Chisholm Award presented by Lieutenant Governor Shelia Y. Oliver.
