
Dr. Liane Comeau serves on the National PTA Board of Directors and brings over 25 years of experience spanning government, research and international non-governmental leadership.
Her career has focused mainly on improving the health and well-being of children, youth and families. She has served as executive director of the International Union for Health Promotion and Health Education (IUHPE), a global organization dedicated to advancing health equity and reducing inequalities worldwide, and as director of Research and Evaluation of Invest in Kids, a pan-Canadian organization. Dr. Comeau also served as a specialized scientific advisor at National Public Health Institute of Quebec (Institut national de santé publique du Québec), where she contributed to evidence-based policies and programming focused on prevention and health promotion across the lifespan.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Dr. Comeau holds a bachelor’s degree from Université de Moncton and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from McGill University. Her work reflects a deep commitment to community engagement, systems change and building a culture of well-being for current and future generations. She lives with her husband and son in Montreal.
