Chase Thomas currently serves as a member on the National PTA Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Illinois Advocates for Children PTA, Woodland PTA, John C. Dunham PTA and several other local PTAs within Illinois PTA and other state PTAs.
Previously, Thomas served as an active and engaged volunteer for Texas PTA and as a Youth Representative for the Monroe Woodbury ISD Council of PTAs within New York State PTA. Outside of his involvement in PTA, Thomas has been honored by a Texas State House Representative for his work on special education reform and received the Texas Youth and Government Youth Character Award for his leadership efforts within the program. He has also been recognized by Texans Standing Tall for his service in helping at-risk youth struggling with substance abuse issues.
In his professional life, Thomas is a Group Services Specialist at the YMCA Camp Duncan. He is currently a senior at Southern New Hampshire University. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a master’s degree focusing on nonprofit administration, in hopes of continuing his work in child welfare and advocacy in the public and nonprofit sector.
