Justin Raber is a member on the National PTA Board of Directors and chair of the National PTA Bylaws Committee. Has served in various areas in PTA, including West Virginia PTA president, president-elect, membership chair and various committees at all levels such as the National PTA Finance Committee, Resource Development Committee, and chair of the National PTA Executive Director Review Taskforce.
Raber is a practicing attorney in Parkersburg, W.Va., where he advocates for children every day in child abuse and neglect proceedings and in family court proceedings, and provides services throughout West Virginia, including tax exempt organizations. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University College of Law.
In 2018, Raber was elected as a school board member of the Wood County Board of Education, where he continues to advocate for every child in his schools system, which has an annual budget of $200 million.
In addition to PTA, Raber serves on the Board of Directors as treasurer for Artsbridge, an arts education nonprofit and as secretary for Wood County Society, a nonprofit serving children and adults with disabilities.
Raber was honored as the 2013 National PTA Shirley Igo Advocate of the Year and has received numerous other awards, including the 2015 Wood County Society Celebration for Kids award, National PTA Life Achievement Award, West Virginia PTA Honorary Life Membership, Indiana PTA Honorary Life Membership and Wisconsin PTA Honorary Life Membership.
