Jesus Holguín is currently an at-large member on the National PTA Board of Directors. He is the 2016 immediate past president of the California School Boards Association, and has served on the CSBA executive committee since 2012.
Holguín has also served as a board member in the Moreno Valley Unified School District since 2002. Committed to providing a quality education to the children of his community, Holguín has also served as president of the Riverside County School Boards Association, president of the Moreno Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and board member of ACCESS to the Future.
In addition, he has been an officer of the California Latino School Board Members Association for a number of years. Holguín has spent over 17 years involved in school and district-level parent groups, including PTA, Site Council, Year round, GATE, High School Curriculum, Safety Task Force committees and the Booster Club. He also provides translation services for Spanish-speaking audiences at board meetings.
Employed by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools for over 29 years, Holguín has extensive experience in school finance. He earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration/accounting from California State University, San Bernardino.
