Step 2
Application for Certification of Excellence
Once your application arrives at National PTA it will be processed and reviewed. Your application will be judged based on
- the required team
- a complete application
- the quality of your parent involvement program based on your score and the supporting documentation.
Schools that do not receive certification will receive Recognition of Commitment in parent involvement. This distinction indicates that your school is committed to pursuing excellence in parent involvement.

Applications are reviewed by a committee throughout the year. Schools will receive notification within four to six weeks of applying.
