Parent and Education Leaders to Convene in Las Vegas for 2017 National PTA Convention & Expo

Thousands of parent and education leaders from across the country will come together Thursday, June 22 through Sunday, June 25 at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel for the 2017 National PTA Convention & Expo. During the conference, attendees will hear from education professionals and experts; participate in workshops and trainings; and discuss key issues impacting children, families, schools and communities. The convention is designed to inspire and empower participants with winning ideas to strengthen family engagement in education and winning strategies to make a difference in the lives and futures of every child.
Event keynote speakers include author and internationally-recognized expert on children, teens, parenting, bullying and social justice Rosalind Wiseman; author and motivational speaker Steve Pemberton; 2017 National Teacher of the Year Sydney Chaffee; and PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger. Attendees will also hear from National PTA President Laura Bay; National PTA Executive Director Nathan R. Monell, CAE; and National PTA President-Elect Jim Accomando.
The convention will feature a symposium entitled Today’s Parents, Tomorrow’s Leaders with panel discussions on ways to engage and inspire Gen Xers, millennials and beyond to become the next generation of education and child advocates. The convention will also include an Awards & Reflections Celebration, during which students from across the country will be recognized for their creative talents. Attendees will enjoy performances by student honorees as well as Le Petit Cirque, the only all-kid prodigies cirque company in the world.
