School and Community Workshops
Ready-to-use kits designed to help you host a workshop and collaborate with community leaders.
National PTA, under the direction of National PTA past-President Linda Hodge, has created this new tool for local PTAs: School–Community Workshops. The three workshop topics are (1) Nutrition, (2) Bullying, and (3) the No Child Left Behind Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Each workshop contains
- A summary of the topic and why PTA believes it is important to parents,
- Ideas for hosting a workshop and collaborating with community leaders,
- A sample script for the presenter,
- Workshop energizers and activities, and
- Handouts for participants.
The ready-to-use presentation materials on this CD-ROM are for local PTA presidents to use on their own or with other subject matter experts.
