: Effective Communication

Today, child advocates must increase their public relations skills and sell their ideas using many of the same techniques used to introduce a new product.

Communicating effectively involves selling your programs and ideas to a political and media marketplace jammed with competing interests that are equally compelling.

You can find helpful tips on Marketing and Public Relations planning, as well as appropriate Legislative Activities in our Annual Resources guide.

The National Network for Youth website also provides communications basics to help you promote your programs and ideas, increase public and political awareness of the successes and needs of youth and youth services, and develop valuable media strategies.
