The National Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the Illinois PTA and the international cultural educational program Up with People are partnering to launch PTA Community Connections Chicago, a three-year project to create greater awareness of PTA programming in Chicago and other urban communities.
The project kicks off March 3-8, and will feature the popular Up with People musical show on March 7th, with all proceeds benefiting the Illinois PTA. Up with People is a family friendly, multi-cultural Broadway style show that incorporates song, dance, and multimedia with students from over 25 countries performing. The international show is designed to deliver messages of hope and goodwill.
PTA Parent Leadership Summit
March 8, 2008 at the Field Museum
On Saturday, March 8th, PTA, in partnership with select Chicago community organizations, is hosting a Parent Leadership Summit at the Field Museum from 9 am to noon. Visit the PTA website for more information and to register.
