Support PTA

You can show your support for PTA by contributing financially to support our activities at the national level. National PTA is a nonprofit agency, a 501(c)(3) serving all children. There are opportunities for individuals, corporations, and foundations to play a variety of important roles in helping PTA achieve its mission.

Why your support is so important

Your contributions to PTA will help us continue to:

  • Establish training programs for parents and concerned adults to help them learn to be advocates for their children
  • Identify and promote safe and best practices for local school communities
  • Provide resources to parents seeking to change a local school practice, facility, or environment
  • Speak on issues of critical importance impacting the education, health, and welfare of all children
  • Support legislation that benefits all children

Here's how you can show your support for PTA; all donations to National PTA are tax-deductible.

Credit Card—Gifts may be made with a credit card. Call us at 800-307-4PTA.

PTA Annual Fund—Each year, PTA members and supporters are able to have a profound and lasting impact on PTA. The individuals who do so demonstrate dedication, compassion, and a sense of pride in and commitment to PTA. More

Endowment Fund—As a distinct 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entity, the Endowment Fund is a way to make tax-deductible contributions that help secure National PTA's future, and thereby help further the education, health, and well-being of our nation's children.

Giving a Life Achievement AwardAny PTA—local, council, district, or state—in conjunction with PTA's national office may confer a National PTA Life Achievement Award on a deserving person. Order the National PTA Life Achievement Award online or read more.

Matching Gifts—Many companies will match their employees' philanthropic contributions. Please check with the human resources department at your company to see if it participates in a matching gift program.

Stocks/Securities—Gifts of appreciated securities may offer significant tax savings and convenience for you and your family. These include elimination or reduction of the tax normally paid on capital gain and a current income-tax deduction equal to the full fair market value of the securities (deductible at up to 30 percent of the donor's adjusted gross income)*.

Life-Income Gifts—Many donors would like to make a significant gift to PTA, but are concerned about future income. By utilizing a charitable gift annuity, you can make a meaningful gift to National PTA and guarantee yourself fixed income for life.

Estates/Wills/Trusts—By remembering the National PTA in your estate plans, you can leave a meaningful mark on the organization's work that spans beyond your years. In fact, many donors find that through bequests, they are able to make a significant philanthrophic commitment more comfortably than doing so during life. As with other methods of making gifts, estate gifts can be unrestricted or designated to a specific program. Also remember that 100 percent of charitable bequests qualify for an estate tax charitable deduction.*

Please contact PTA if you're interested in any of these donating options.
