Pam Meyercord was elected in June 2006 to serve a two-year term as a member representative on the PTA National Board of Directors. She chairs the national convention-elections special committee and is a member of the resource development committee.  She is also a Building Successful Partnerships presenter and a Taking Charge of Your TV trainer for the national PTA organization.

With more than 20 years of PTA service, Meyercord brings a wealth of experience to the board. She served as president of Texas PTA from 2004 to fall 2006. Other leadership positions with Texas PTA have included first vice president, second vice president, regional vice president, and youth protection chair. She is a past president of the Dallas Independent School District Council of PTAs. Meyercord is an honorary life member of National PTA and Texas PTA, and has been the recipient of the Texas Extended Service Award.

Meyercord and her husband, David, have three children.
