2016 Slate of Nominees

The Nominating and Leadership Development Committee (NLDC) met January 30-31, 2016, to consider individuals for the positions of eight (8) member representatives to the National PTA Board of Directors, each for a two year term; and three (3) members to the Nominating and Leadership Development Committee, each for a three-year term.

The committee would like to thank all the dedicated volunteers who submitted a Letter of Interest. There were many qualified, passionate leaders to choose from and the decisions were difficult. We appreciate your time and willingness to serve.

The NLDC is proud to announce and asks for your support of the following nominees for election at the 2016 National Convention in Orlando, FL.

Run From the Floor

National PTA Bylaws allow individuals to run from the floor for these positions. To do this, potential candidates must provide notification of their intent to run from the floor in writing, to the National PTA President via certified U.S. mail/package carrier in care of the National PTA Office no later than Fri., April 1View this letter for requirements.

Notification must be mailed to: Laura Bay, National PTA President, 1250 N. Pitt Street, Alexandria, VA 22314

To expedite National PTA's acknowledgement, the notification should include:

  1. Name of the office for which you plan to run
  2. You email and phone contact information
  3. "Notice of Intent" clearly marked on the front of the envelope/package
