Kristina Leone has been involved with PTA since she was in seventh grade when she joined her county PTA Council in Edgewater, MD. She has been actively involved ever since.
PTA has always been a family affair for Kristina. She began tagging along with her parents to PTA events at a very young age and then got involved herself. She has lobbied for the programs students needed in schools for not only her local board of education, but also with her state government and the national government. PTA also taught her a love of parliamentary procedures.
Kristina is a member of the Hofstra University Class of 2017, majoring in political science. In the future, Kristina wants to work for politicians to try to make a difference in this world by writing legislation. At Hofstra, she is involved in Christian Fellowship on campus and is a member of the school’s women’s rugby team.
Through exploring her faith and learning what the human body is capable of, she has learned that there is more work than just PTSA or SGA to be a leader.
