Esther Parker currently serves as a member on the National PTA Board of Directions. She brings over 25 years of leadership experience working for the benefit of children in her professional career and PTA involvement.
Parker has previously served one term as a member representative on the Board of Directors. She has also served as chairperson on several National PTA committees including Field Service, Nominating and Leadership Development, Organizational Effectiveness and as a member of Budget and Finance. She currently serves as the chairperson for the Elections committee.
At the state level, Parker has served as president of the Maryland State PTA. On the local PTA level, she has served as president of Wye Oak, Four Seasons Elementary and Crofton Middle School.
Outside of PTA, Parker’s community service includes work for the Anne Arundel Community College Teach Institute Advisory Board, Maryland School Age Alliance, and the Anne Arundel County Arts Council.
In her professional life, Parker has served as director of School Age Child Care Program, part of Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation; training consultant for preschool and childcare agencies; and program director for Democratic Diversity Leadership Council.
