General Bennie Williams |
 Major General (retired) Bennie E. Williams was elected during the 2009 PTA National Convention to serve as a member representative to the National PTA Board of Directors for a two-year term. Williams, a Baltimore native who has served in the United States military for over 30 years and has risen to the “two-star” rank, is the Chief of Staff for the Baltimore City Public School System. Previously, Williams served as Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Defense Logistic Agency, leading a staff of over 400 civilian and military personnel responsible for providing worldwide logistics solutions to Military Services as well as to foreign military customers and other federal agencies.
A 1972 graduate of Morgan State University, Major General Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, Infantry, in the Regular Army. He has a Master of Science degree in Transportation Management from Florida Institute of Technology.. |
