![]() The PTA Gateway Public Service Announcement (PSA) Campaign is launching for Back-to-School 2009. These television and radio spots present PTA as a way for families to connect to and enrich children’s learning environments and lives. Supporting Web banners are also available. In July, the PTA Gateway PSAs were delivered to select markets nationwide. State, regional, and local PTA follow-up—and outreach to additional television and radio stations in their communities—will be essential to the campaign’s success. PSAs are messages serving the public interest and run by the media at no charge. PTAs will pay a small per-copy fee, plus shipping, to send PSAs to their local stations but will not have to pay any advertising fees to the stations. Local tagging on television and radio spots—adding your PTA’s contact information to the end of the spot—is available for a one-time additional fee per format. Reach parents by placing these spots with local media, and let parents know how to contact your PTA directly. For all the materials you need to contact local broadcast media, preview and order the spots, and track placements, go to the PSA Web portal below. Read "How to Support a PSA Campaign" (under Resources in the portal) for a step-by-step guide to placing PSAs.
