PTA Radio Digs into the Dad Difference

10/21/2008

CHICAGO (October 21, 2008)PTA Radio’s sophomore show continues the first series of shows that focus on male involvement tips in an in-depth interview with a father involvement expert from the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI)—a partner organization of PTA’s Men Organized to Raise Engagement (MORE) alliance.

The show, called “What a Difference a Dad Makes,” features an interview with Vincent DiCaro, Director of Public Affairs at NFI.  DiCaro provides insight on basic fathering skills, confidence and strengths.

Anyone can listen to PTA Radio on-demand and catch a quick show online at their leisure with the click of a mouse.  Show lengths range from 5-10 minutes and features interviews with different national experts every other week.

The shows are hosted by Rae Pica, an author and international education expert specializing in early childhood physical activity; and Chuck Saylors, National PTA’s first-ever male president-elect.

Parents and child advocates can listen to PTA Radio by visiting www.pta.org or at www.jackstreet.com/jackstreet/WMBKpta.dicaro.cfm.  PTA’s website also highlights other male involvement information at www.pta.org/pta_more.asp.
