Frank Gallagher

Frank GallagherFrank Gallagher has been a PTA member since 2003 and serves on the resource development committee; he was appointed to the PTA national board of directors in July 2007 and elected as an at-large member in 2009.

Gallagher is the director of education and media literacy for Cable in the Classroom, the cable industry’s education foundation.  In that role, he has collaborated with PTA for 14 years on critical TV viewing and media literacy projects.  He has served as an advisor to the California State PTA’s communications commission since 2003 and is a member of advisory boards for several media and Internet safety organizations.

Prior to joining Cable in the Classroom in 1995, Gallagher taught in a Maryland middle school.  A graduate of the University of Arizona, he later received a master's degree from the University of Maryland.  He is a member of the national unit of PTA and enjoys doting on nieces, nephews, and a grandnephew.
