PTA Start the Art Week 2007 and the PTA Start the Art Toolkit are proudly presented by Target.

Since Target opened its doors in 1962, it has given back 5 percent of its income to local communities. This year, Target will give back more than $3 million every week to schools and nonprofit organizations. Target’s programs are national in scope, with local impact across all their focus areas, in arts, education, and social services. This year, Target has joined with PTA in its commitment to promoting and supporting arts and education. Together, Target and PTA will help schools and communities across the country emphasize the importance of the arts as an essential component of a child’s education.
