National PTA and NEA Team Up to Honor Educators Nationwide During Teacher Appreciation Week and National Teacher Day 5-5-15
Teachers make a difference in the lives of millions of children every day in schools across the country—and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. National PTA and the National Education Association have teamed up to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8) and National Teacher Day (May 5), in honor of teachers and the important contributions they make.
National PTA Honors Students for Artistic Ingenuity Through Reflections Program 5-4-15
National PTA is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014-2015 Reflections arts in education program. More than 200 students from across the country have been honored with the awards of Outstanding Interpretation, Excellence and Merit.
National PTA Applauds 2015 National Teacher of the Year 4-29-15
National PTA congratulates Shanna Peeples for her recognition by the Council of Chief State School Officers as the 2015 National Teacher of the Year. Peeples is an English teacher at Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, Texas. She was selected to receive the honor from teachers across the country for her dedication to helping every child reach his/her full potential as well as her commitment to mentoring her colleagues to help them grow in the teaching profession.
